Kohlrabi Sticks<br />

with Butter<br />

Crumb Crest<br />

(for one steam basket)<br />

Serves 4<br />

800 g kohlrabi<br />

100 g butter<br />

60 g breadcrumbs<br />

Water level in base pan: max.<br />

1. Peel kohlrabi and cut into equal sticks<br />

about 2 cm thick (for instance, using the<br />

french fry disc of a <strong>Braun</strong> food processor).<br />

2. Put kohlrabi sticks into steam basket<br />

and steam for 25 minutes.<br />

3. In a frying pan, brown breadcrumbs in<br />

butter.<br />

4. Arrange the kohlrabi sticks on a warm -<br />

ed platter and pour the browned bread -<br />

crumbs over the kohlrabi.<br />

A delicious accompaniment for a pot roast.<br />

You can substitute pumpkin for the kohl -<br />

rabi in this recipe, if you wish.<br />

Bastoncitos de Colinabo<br />

con Picatostes de<br />

Mantequilla<br />

(un contenedor)<br />

4 Personas<br />

800 g colinabo<br />

100 g mantequilla<br />

60 g miga de pan<br />

Nivel de agua en la base: máximo<br />

1. Pelar el colinabo y cortarlo en bastoncitos<br />

de unos 2 cm de grosor (usar el disco<br />

cortador de patatas de la máquina de cocina<br />

<strong>Braun</strong>).<br />

2. Poner los bastoncitos de colinabo en<br />

el contenedor y cocer durante 25 minutos.<br />

3. En una sartén dorar la miga de pan<br />

con la mantequilla.<br />

4. Colocar los bastoncitos en una fuente<br />

caliente y echar los picatostes por encima.<br />

Es una guarnición deliciosa con carne<br />

asada.<br />

Si se desea, se puede sustituir el colinabo<br />

por calabaza.
