All eyes are on Angola as it prepares to<br />
host the African Cup of Nations 2010<br />
Preparations are well under way for<br />
next year’s 27th biennial African<br />
Cup of Nations, to be hosted for the<br />
first time by Angola. The draw for the<br />
tournament takes place on 20 November<br />
and the tournament is due to kick off<br />
on 10 January.<br />
Angola will be looking to make up for<br />
missing out on a World Cup place, after<br />
making the Quarter Finals in the 2008 Cup<br />
of Nations, their best result to date. The country<br />
has invested €680m to build four new stadiums,<br />
the largest of which will be a 40,000 capacity venue<br />
in Luanda. The three smaller arenas are in<br />
Benguela, Cabinda and Lubango.<br />
As well as Angola, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Tunisia<br />
and Algeria have so far qualified for the<br />
championship, and will all be looking to break<br />
