bright Italian white is a brilliant straw<br />
yellow. With hints of honey, herbs and asparagus<br />

crisp and refreshing. Serve it at 10ºC with white<br />
meat, fish, light vegetables and cheese sauces. Or<br />

Château de Cruzeau, Pessac Léognan –<br />
Grand Vin de Graves 2006<br />
Produced by André Lurton, one of the best<br />
winemakers in Bordeaux, this pale yellow<br />
Sauvignon picked up plaudits in Le Guide Hachette<br />
des Vins <strong>2009</strong> (they rated it as vin très réussi – a<br />
very well made wine). With an aroma of white<br />
flowers and citrus fruit, and a fresh, almost mineral<br />
taste, it’s best served at 10-12ºC with fish, seafood<br />
and asparagus.<br />

Pomino Bianco, Marchesi<br />
de Frescobaldi 2007<br />
This Tuscan Chardonnay is a clear straw<br />
yellow, with aromas of green apple and<br />
unripe peaches and plums. It’s balanced and fresh,<br />
with a lingering finish and is good with fish,<br />
seafood (but not oysters), assorted salads and<br />
chicken. It’s best served at 8-10ºC.<br />

bourgeois supérieur 2006<br />
Straight from the vineyard of Belgian<br />
businessman Baron Maurice Velge, this rich<br />
red is made wth 40% Merlot grapes, 55% Cabernet<br />
Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.<br />
Straightforward and fruity, it’s got a nose full of<br />
vanilla, toasted wood and red fruit, soft tannins and<br />
a long aftertaste. Serve it at 16°-18° with meat, pasta<br />
and creamy cheeses.<br />

Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 2006<br />
Made with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon<br />
grapes and 10% Merlot, this Chilean red is<br />
an intense ruby colour, with a nose full of<br />
blackberry, blackcurrant and tobacco. Full bodied<br />
and well balanced in the mouth, it scored 90/100 in<br />
The Wine Advocate. It’s best served at 16º with<br />
meat, pasta and creamy cheeses.<br />

Perrin Frères 2006<br />
Made with 20% Syrah grapes, 60%<br />
Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre, this gutsy red<br />
looks almost opaque in the glass. Best paired with<br />
grilled meat, poultry and Provençal dishes, it smells<br />
of caramel, spices and red berries, with fine tannins<br />
and good length. Serve it at 18°C.<br />

Sauvignon, ce vin blanc italien clair offre<br />
une robe éclatante couleur paille. Ses arômes<br />
de miel, d’herbes et d’asperges révèlent une grande<br />
simplicité en bouche, avec des notes limpides,<br />
vives et rafraîchissantes. Il se sert idéalement à 10º<br />
avec de la viande blanche, du poisson, des légumes<br />
légers et des sauces au fromage. On peut aussi le<br />
consommer en apéritif.<br />

Ce Chardonnay toscan est d’une couleur<br />
jaune paille clair, avec des arômes de<br />
pomme verte, de pêches non mûres et de prunes.<br />
Frais et équilibré, ce vin offre une longue finale. Il<br />
est parfait avec le poisson, les fruits de mer (à<br />
l‘exception des huîtres), les salades composées et<br />
le poulet. À servir idéalement à 8-10°C.<br />

Velge, ce riche vin rouge se compose de cépages à<br />
40% Merlot, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet<br />
Franc et 3% Petit Verdot. Franc et fruité, son nez<br />
livre des exhalaisons marquées de vanille, de bois<br />
fumé et de fruit rouge. Ce vin offre de doux tannins<br />
et une longue finale en bouche. Servez-le entre 16°-<br />
18° en accompagnement de viande, de pâtes et de<br />
fromages crémeux.<br />
