Le Congrès Francophone de Cardiologie Interventionnelle est le plus important congrès de
langue française dédié aux thérapies cardiovasculaires interventionnelles et à l’athérome.
Cette rencontre internationale est organisée en collaboration avec le Groupe Athérome et
Cardiologie Interventionnelle (GACI) de la Société Française de Cardiologie. Son but est
d’apporter à tous les professionnels de santé intéressés par la cardiologie interventionnelle
et les spécialités voisines, une analyse critique et exhaustive des développements les
plus récents et innovants dans ce domaine, depuis les concepts visionnaires
et révolutionnaires jusqu’aux applications pratiques cliniques les plus pertinentes, en
insistant sur le rôle indispensable de la médecine fondée sur les preuves.
Innovation cette année au CFCI :
A l’instar de plusieurs congrès internationaux ESC, ACC, AHA, dont certains
commencent en n de semaine, la 13 e édition du CFCI débute cette année le
dimanche 9 octobre par une séance consacrée au traitement percutané des
valvulopathies avec une vidéotransmission en direct de l’Institut de Cardiologie
de Catane (Italie). La conférence se poursuivra jusqu’au mercredi 12 octobre
après-midi. Ce 13 e Congrès reprendra la formule qui a fait le succès des éditions
précédentes. Les participants peuvent assister à des séances concurrentes abordant
des domaines aussi divers que la cardiologie préventive, la cardiologie clinique, la
pharmacologie interventionnelle, l’imagerie cardiovasculaire, l’intervention coronaire
percutanée, les cardiopathies congénitales et valvulaires, l’intervention vasculaire
périphérique, la chirurgie cardiovasculaire et les technologies émergentes.
Le programme nal comporte les parties suivantes :
• Conférences en salle plénière données par des experts nationaux et internationaux
• Symposiums parrainés par nos partenaires de l’industrie du médicament ou du matériel
• Interventions cardiovasculaires percutanées retransmises en direct de centres
de cardiologie interventionnelle reconnus
• Séances conjointes avec d’autres groupes et associations de cardiologues interventionnels
• Controverses sur des sujets d’actualité
• Ateliers pratiques
• Travaux de recherche originaux sélectionnés pour présentations orales ou afchées
• Séance paramédicale
Le public de ce Congrès rassemble les praticiens, les biologistes, les inrmiers, les
techniciens, le personnel de laboratoire de cathétérisme et les professionnels de la
santé intéressés par les interventions cardiovasculaires percutanées et par l’imagerie
cardiovasculaire. An de favoriser les échanges en dehors des séances, les congressistes
pourront visiter une exposition de l’industrie pharmaceutique et du matériel médical.
La Formation Médicale Continue : le Congrès est validant au titre de la
FMC, sur la base de 4 crédits par demi-journée de présence, soit au total
24 crédits. Evaluation des Pratiques Professionnelles : le Congrès permet
de participer au programme EPP de la Société Française de Cardiologie.
Cette année, an d’étendre toujours plus la reconnaissance des travaux de
recherche, un Prix de 1 500 € sera attribué au meilleur poster et au
meilleur cas clinique.

LE COMITÉ D’ORGANISATION
The Paris Cardiovascular Interventions (PCI) Course is a major educational
event dedicated to interventional cardiovascular therapies and atherothrombosis.
This international meeting is organized in collaboration with the Interventional
Cardiology Working Group (GACI) of the French Society of Cardiology. It aims
to bring to all health professionals involved in interventional cardiology
and its related specialities a critical analysis as well as all the most recent
and innovative developments in this eld, from visionary and revolutionary
concepts to practical clinical applications of the utmost pertinence, with
particular emphasis on evidence-based medicine.
New this year at Paris Cardiovascular Interventions Course: Many international
congresses such as ESC, ACC and AHA meetings usually begin on weekends.
This year, the 13 th annual edition of the PCI Course starts on Sunday October 9 th
with a session dedicated to percutaneous therapies of valvular heart disease with
live case demonstrations from Catania Institute of Cardiology, Italy.
The conference ends on Wednesday October 12 th in the afternoon.
The 13 th annual edition of the PCI Course follows in the path of previous
editions. Attendees are assured of concurrent sessions dealing with diverse areas
such as preventive cardiology, clinical cardiology, interventional pharmacology,
cardiovascular imaging, percutaneous coronary intervention, congenital and valvular
heart disease, peripheral vascular intervention, cardiovascular surgery and emerging
technologies.
The nal program includes the following sections:

cardiology centers

Target audience: The congress is intended for physicians, biologists, nurses,
technologists, cath lab staff and other healthcare professionals with an
interest in cardiovascular intervention and imaging. To encourage exchange
outside the sessions, please visit the pharmaceutical and medical device
industry exhibition.
Continuing Medical Education Accreditation: The Paris Cardiovascular Interventions
Course is accredited by the French Society of Cardiology to provide continuing
medical education for physicians for a maximum of 24 Credits and by the
European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology - EBAC (18 credits). Physicians
should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in
the activity. This year, to further increase our recognition of research, a Prize of
1 500 € will be awarded to the best poster and the best clinical case.
