4 THE ANSWERING MACHINE<br />
In this chapter, you will learn how to check your TAM<br />
greeting message, monitor incoming calls, play/erase<br />
messages, and access your machine from a remote telephone.<br />
This chapter is only for <strong>SF</strong>-3100T users. If your machine is<br />
<strong>SF</strong>-3100, please refer to the <strong>User</strong>’s Guide supplied by the<br />
answering machine manufacturer.<br />
All the instructions in this chapter assume that your fax<br />
machine is set to TAM Mode.<br />
Chapter 4<br />
Note<br />
The <strong>SF</strong>-3100T uses electronic memory as a recording<br />
medium. Recording time is dependent on the content of the<br />
message. The total recording time (TAM OGM + ICM) is<br />
about 12 minutes.<br />
