Advanced Fax<br />
Setting Receive Polling<br />
1 Lift the handset or press OHD/V.Req and enter<br />
the telephone number of the remote machine.<br />
The remote machine must be in Send Polling<br />
state.<br />
2 Press Advanced FAX when you hear a fax tone<br />
from the remote machine.<br />
The display shows ‘RECEIVE POLLING?’.<br />

3 Press Start/Enter.<br />
Your machine starts to retrieve the document.<br />
Note<br />
You cannot receive a document if the machine you are polling<br />
uses a Poll Code.<br />
Not all fax machines have polling capability, and polling<br />
incompatibility sometimes occurs between fax machines<br />
made by different manufacturers. Therefore, polling may<br />
fail in some cases, even when poll code is not used.<br />
