Reflexões interdisciplinares a partir de A Arte do Canto,<br />

Resumo: Este artigo apresenta uma análise do manuscrito inédito do barítono gaúcho Andino<br />
Abreu (1884-1961), cantor de grande experiência nacional e internacional, elaborado por volta<br />
de 1940, quando este já se encontrava ausente dos palcos. O cantor apresenta uma série de<br />
reflexões sobre a prática, a interpretação e a aprendizag<strong>em</strong> do canto, a partir de abor<strong>da</strong>gens<br />
interdisciplinares, <strong>em</strong> que se combinam aspectos <strong>da</strong> filosofia, <strong>da</strong> psicanálise e de estudos <strong>da</strong><br />
linguag<strong>em</strong>. A base filosófica aristotélico-tomista se congrega com a visão fisiológica, valorizando<br />
a respiração e a articulação, ao lado <strong>da</strong> necessi<strong>da</strong>de de uma formação plural e humanística no<br />
ensino do canto.<br />

Title: Interdisciplinary reflections made from The Art of Singing, the unpublished manuscript by<br />
the Gaucho baritone Andino Abreu<br />
Abstract: This article presents an analysis of a recently discovered and unpublished<br />
manuscript written by the Gaucho baritone Andino Abreu (1844-1961), a singer of wide<br />
international experience and national recognition, elaborated c. 1940, when he was already<br />
retired from the stages. The singer presents a series of reflections on practice, interpretation<br />
and learning of singing starting with interdisciplinary approaches which, in turn, are combined<br />
with an Aristotelic-thomist philosophical basis and a physiological understanding, in order to<br />
value breathing and articulation side by side with the need of a pluralistic and humanistic view<br />
of learning.<br />
