RESUMO<br />
O turismo enquanto atividade econômica, pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento<br />
social, econômico e cultural de uma região. Para se compreender<br />
essa hipótese é importante introduzir não apenas os princípios<br />
orientadores de desenvolvimento, mas simultaneamente refletir sobre as<br />
estratégias da estruturação e o desenvolvimento da atividade em regiões<br />
específicas, pois é com base nas características peculiares de cada região<br />
que podem ser sugeridos os fatores positivos e negativos da atividade.<br />
Todavia, mais do que abordar, em termos gerais, essa problemática,<br />
aqui efetivamente se estudam as estratégias de planejamento e gestão da<br />
atividade turística na rota vinícola do Vale dos Vinhedos (RS).<br />

ABSTRACT<br />
The tourism while economical activity, it can contribute to the development<br />
social, economical and cultural in an area. To understand this hypothesis it<br />
is important to not just introduce the guiding beginnings of development<br />
but, simultaneously, to contemplate on the strategies of the implantation<br />
and the development of the activity in specific areas. Because it is with<br />
base in the peculiar characteristics of each area that she can point the<br />
positive and negative factors of the activity. Though, more than to approach<br />
in general terms this problem, here indeed it is studied the planning<br />
strategies and administration of the tourist activity in the wine-producing<br />
route of the valley of the Vale dos Vinhedos (RS).<br />
