Consideran<strong>do</strong> a exposição preliminar, conclui-se que o <strong>tratamento</strong> de to<strong>do</strong>s os<br />
candi<strong>da</strong>tos a transplante renal infecta<strong>do</strong>s <strong>pelo</strong> VHC é custo-efetivo se efetua<strong>do</strong><br />
preliminarmente ao transplante. Os resulta<strong>do</strong>s desta simulação, associa<strong>do</strong>s às evidências<br />
acumula<strong>da</strong>s sobre a segurança e <strong>efetivi<strong>da</strong>de</strong> <strong>do</strong> interferon em monoterapia fazem deste<br />
esquema terapêutico a opção de escolha inicial. Mas os <strong>da</strong><strong>do</strong>s obti<strong>do</strong>s em estu<strong>do</strong>s que<br />
associam a este medicamento a ribavirina em <strong>do</strong>ses ajusta<strong>da</strong>s para <strong>do</strong>entes renais devem ser<br />
considera<strong>do</strong>s em estu<strong>do</strong>s futuros.<br />
Uma vez que o modelo foi testa<strong>do</strong> consideran<strong>do</strong> <strong>do</strong>se de medicamento, duração <strong>da</strong><br />
terapia e taxa de <strong>efetivi<strong>da</strong>de</strong> obti<strong>da</strong>s no <strong>tratamento</strong> <strong>da</strong> <strong>infecção</strong> para o genótipo 1, a a<strong>do</strong>ção <strong>da</strong><br />
recomen<strong>da</strong>ção não implica em aumento de custos para população infecta<strong>da</strong> por outros<br />
genótipos virais. De qualquer mo<strong>do</strong>, a disponibiliade <strong>da</strong>s informações previamente<br />
apresenta<strong>da</strong>s permite a simulação <strong>do</strong> impacto <strong>da</strong> a<strong>do</strong>ção <strong>da</strong> recomen<strong>da</strong>ção em cenários<br />
diferencia<strong>do</strong>s.<br />
