ABSTRACT<br />

With the increasing <strong>de</strong>mand for bigger conectivida<strong>de</strong>, ac<strong>ce</strong>ss the Internet and functions<br />

multimedia, today <strong>de</strong>mand of the <strong>de</strong>dicated <strong>de</strong>vi<strong>ce</strong>s bigger sophistication, including new<br />

functions and, many times, displays of vi<strong>de</strong>o for one better experien<strong>ce</strong> on the part of the final<br />

user. The implementation of microcontrolled form of all these new functionalities would be<br />

sufficiently difficult e, in some cases, even though impracticable in function of the addressed<br />

maximum memory for microcontrollers. The manufacturers of <strong>de</strong>vi<strong>ce</strong>s had <strong>de</strong>ci<strong>de</strong>d the<br />

limitation of microcontrolled environments searching solutions micropro<strong>ce</strong>ssed, with<br />

modulariza<strong>do</strong>s and robust operational systems, thus taking care of the new <strong>de</strong>mand of market.<br />

This dissertação approaches con<strong>ce</strong>pts relative the systems embarked (Embed<strong>de</strong>d Systems),<br />

discoursing on its <strong>de</strong>finition, main applications of the operational system embarked Win<strong>do</strong>ws<br />

CE in the automation area and control, these applications come back toward the school and<br />

the industry. This work <strong>de</strong>scribes the implementation of a proposal of application of Win<strong>do</strong>ws<br />

CE in a didactic environment. The <strong>de</strong>scribed environment aims at to take care of to the<br />

<strong>de</strong>mand for an opened system, of easy adaptation, adjusted cost, with great capacity of joined<br />

pro<strong>ce</strong>ssing mainly in the half aca<strong>de</strong>mic, but extensible the industrial applications.<br />
