The detective analyz<strong>ed</strong> everything. He notic<strong>ed</strong> that the girl had<br />
marks on her head, neck and cuts on her fingers. She had big nails and was<br />
wearing a black necklace. Jake took some photos and a blood test.<br />
— Looks like Mrs. Kate was right. Julia was murder<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
4 Days After- 8:47 p.m, Mrs. Kate’s house.<br />
— Did you find new clues. – Kate ask<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
— Actually yes. I found marks on her neck, head and fingers. I think<br />
it was a murder, but I have to investigate more.<br />
— So she was murder<strong>ed</strong>... Ok, come back if you find new clues. I’ll<br />
take you to the door.<br />
The detective found strange the way she was acting. He notic<strong>ed</strong><br />
that she was wearing heels and a big blue dress, which meant she was going out,<br />
right after her daughter di<strong>ed</strong>. When Jake got to his car he decid<strong>ed</strong> to wait a little<br />
bit before leaving, just to see what would Kate do.<br />
Minutes later a car park<strong>ed</strong> in front of the house and a tall white man left it. Mrs.<br />
Kate appear<strong>ed</strong> and they kiss<strong>ed</strong>. Jake open<strong>ed</strong> the window so that he could hear<br />
what they were talking.<br />
— Peter said I’m giving you too much attention. He knows Julia was<br />
our daughter and he was there the night she di<strong>ed</strong>. – the man said. – He also<br />
thinks I have to tell his mom about us.<br />
— You really have to. You know it, Brad.<br />
— I haven’t been thinking about this lately. I’ve been very stress<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
— I know. So, see you tomorrow?<br />
— See you tomorrow. – Brad kiss<strong>ed</strong> and went back to his car.<br />
Jake thought about what to do next. He had just discover<strong>ed</strong> some<br />
new clues and a new suspect, so he decid<strong>ed</strong> not to lose the opportunity and<br />
follow the man.<br />
The detective end<strong>ed</strong> up in front of a house not far. He park<strong>ed</strong> near<br />
the house so Brad wouldn’t notice him. After a few minutes thinking, he decid<strong>ed</strong><br />
to enter the house and interview the man.<br />
— Who are you?- Brad ask<strong>ed</strong> when he answer<strong>ed</strong> the door.<br />
— I’m Mrs. Kate’s detective. It’s a pleasure to meet you sir.<br />
— Pleasure is all mine. So, do you want to interview Peter?<br />
— Actually both.<br />
— Both? – the man look<strong>ed</strong> confus<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
— Yes, both. Just to know a little more about your relationship with<br />
Peter.<br />
Brad invit<strong>ed</strong> Jake to enter and they sat on the couch. The man<br />
seem<strong>ed</strong> uncomfortable with the situation.<br />
— So, how’s your relationship with Peter? – the detective start<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
— Not very good.<br />
— Why?<br />
— He thinks I don’t give him enough attention.<br />
— And do you? – Jake smil<strong>ed</strong>.<br />
