Emine Dilek Arınel, retired science teacher. Arınel who went to the
doctor for a prosthetic surgery because of complaints in her knee a
year ago, was diagnosed of the disease of “Calcium Aortic Stenosis”
during her examinations. Due to the increase in complaints of
shortness of breath and heart palpitations, Okan University Hospital,
Istanbul Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist Dr The 64-year-old
woman who came to the control of Altuğ Tunçer had to have
surgery.
Her heart valve was changed by entering from a small incision
Arınel’s life was saved who had hesitated to undergo surgery due to
her weight, thanks to the small incision performed by Prof Dr. Altuğ
Tunçer. Tuncer who has successfully changed the old heart valve
with the new heart valve produced from the bovine heart membrane
and which also does not require any stitching, has continued his
words as follows. “Miss Emine was suffering from a stenosis which
has developed due to the calcification of the aortic valve. This valve
had to be replaced. Although the patient’s weight brings difficulty
for the surgery; we have replaced this valve in about 3 hours
by stopping her heart with a special valve that does not require
stitching. In the heart surgery, the breastbone is usually being cut,
but we have entered from a small incision between the ribs. When
the bone is not cut, people are being recovered more quickly. These
surgeries are not performed very often in our country. Small incision
surgeries are very difficult and toilsome for the surgeon, but they
are extremely useful for the patient for sure. This was also a good
example. The patient recovered very quickly and was discharged on
the 5th day” he said. Arınel, who survived her complaints after the
surgery, said the following words. “I was afraid of being operated.
But Prof Altuğ said he would not open the incision very much. I’ve
heard that Prof Altuğ conducts such surgeries. He’s the right doctor
for these kind of patients for sure. I’m very good now because of
him” she said.
Emine Dilek Arınel, emekli fen bilgisi öğretmeni. Bir yıl
önce dizindeki şikayetler nedeniyle protez ameliyatı
olmak için doktora giden Arınel’e, yapılan tetkikler
sırasında “Kalsifik Aort Darlığı” teşhisi konuldu. Nefes
darlığı ve kalp çarpıntısı şikâyetlerinin artması nedeniyle
tavsiye üzerine İstanbul Okan Üniversitesi Hastanesi
Kardiyovasküler Cerrahi Uzmanı Prof. Dr. Altuğ Tunçer’e
kontrole gelen 64 yaşındaki kadının ameliyat olması
gerekiyordu.
Küçük kesiden girilerek kalp kapakçığı değiştirildi
Kilosu nedeniyle ameliyat olmaktan çekinen Arınel’in
hayatı, Prof. Dr. Altuğ Tunçer’in yaptığı küçük kesi
ameliyatı sayesinde kurtuldu. Sığır kalp zarından
üretilen ve dikiş gerektirmeyen kalp kapakçığını, eski
kalp kapakçığı ile başarılı bir şekilde değiştiren Tunçer,
“Emine Hanım’ın aort kapağında kireçlenmeye bağlı darlık
vardı. Bu kapağın değiştirilmesi gerekiyordu. Hastanın
kilosu yüzünden ameliyat zorlu olsa da; bu kapağı, dikiş
gerektirmeyen özel bir kapak ile kalbi durdurarak yaklaşık
3 saatte yerleştirdik. Kalp ameliyatlarında genellikle;
göğüs kemiği kesilirken, biz kaburgaların arasından küçük
bir kesiyle girdik. Kemik kesilmediği zaman insanlar
daha çabuk iyileşiyor. Bu ameliyatlar ülkemizde çok
sık yapılmıyor. Küçük kesi ameliyatları; cerrah için çok
zor ve meşakkatli de olsa, hasta için son derece faydalı
işlemlerdir. Bu da güzel bir örnek oldu. Hasta çok
çabuk iyileşip, 5. günde taburcu oldu” şeklinde konuştu.
Ameliyattan sonra şikâyetlerinden kurtulan Arınel ise,
“Ameliyat olmaktan çok korkuyordum. Ama Altuğ Hoca,
kesiyi çok açmayacağını söyledi. Altuğ hocanın bu tür
ameliyatlar yaptığını duymuştum. Hasta için bulunmaz
bir doktor. Sayesinde şuanda çok iyiyim” dedi.
