Bodrum the Region of Tourism
33. The Bodrum Cup ended
The Bodrum Cup, which turned its route to the regions
affected by forest fires this year, completed the five-day
exciting race marathon with the Kissebuku-Bodrum Erol
Agan stage. The organization, in which various activities
were organized in order to improve the fire areas and
to support the citizens affected by the fire, passed in a
festive atmosphere throughout the competitions.
The stages were the scene of fierce battles when the
wind was favourable, giving both sailors and spectators
a pleasant time. After the final stage was completed,
an award ceremony was held in the area established
in Aganlar Shipyard. At the
ceremony, Bodrum Governor
Bilgehan Bayar, Mugla Metropolitan
Municipality Deputy
Mayor Cumhur Coban, Milas
Mayor Muhammet Tokat,
Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras,
Bodrum Deputy Mayors
İlknur Ulkum Seferoglu and
Huseyin Tutkun also presented
their awards to the
winners.
Bodrum is among the World's Best 25 Cities
Turkish resort town Bodrum has been
featured in the Travel+Leisure 2021 World’s
Best Awards list, ranking as one of the best
25 cities in the world. Istanbul, the country’s
largest metropolis, was also added to the
same list.
This year's World's Best Awards survey was
open for voting January 11 through May 10,
2021, as destinations around the world were
lifting Covid-19 restrictions. Survey rules have
always allowed readers to reflect on their
travel experiences over a three-year period.
Every year for its World's Best Awards survey,
Travel+Leisure asks readers to weigh in on
travel experiences around the globe — to
share their opinions on the top cities, islands,
cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Readers
rated cities on their sights and landmarks,
culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping, and
overall value.
