Tokom desetogodišnjeg rada, EPuS LVL je organizovalo
oko pedeset različitih predavanja, panel-rasprava,
radionica i istraživačkih projekata, u okolnostima
izuzetno polarizovane partijske scene na
području Gradske opštine Lazarevac. EPuS LVL je
u proteklim godinama, bez veće podrške lokalne zajednice,
afirmisalo evropske vrednosti.
S obzirom na to da je energetski oslonac države Rudarski
basen „Kolubara“, iz čijeg lignita se proizvodi
52 odsto električne energije, više panel-rasprava
bilo je posvećeno razvoju energetike i zaštiti životne
sredine.
Tokom 2008. godine, realizovan je projekat „Srbija u
EU – šta od toga imam ja, a šta moj grad“. EPuS-Lazarevac
je organizovao šest panel-rasprava o životnim
temama i četiri lokalne akcije. U organizovanju
panel-rasprava partneri su u tri slučaja bili Centar za
tranziciju i Udruženje privatnika opštine. Prilikom
prezentacije projekta u Ivanjici, Lokalno veće Lazarevac
je među tri OCD proglašena najboljim.
U brojnim akcijama povodom izbornih kampanja
i Dana Evrope, bili su zapaženi programi i performansi
u centru Lazarevca, kod Rudarske česme,
stecištu važnih događaja. U zadnje dve godine na
tradicionalnoj privrednoj manifestaciji „Kolubara-Fest“
koja se održava u Lazarevcu učestvovali
su predstavnici Lokalnog veća Lazarevac, deleći
građanima propagandni materijal, flajere, balone,
majice i dr. U Modernoj galeriji u Lazarevcu,
uz veliko interesovanje medija, zapažen je projekat
„Osvajanje slobode – Put kojim se teže ide“
na kome su predstavljeni mladi stručnjaci koji su
profesionalni uspeh postigli u SAD i Evropi. Lokalna
aktivnost „Srpska naivna aktivnost - Brend
Evrope“ održana je u Stepojevcu, kraj Ibarske
magistrale, u vrtu skulptora Ilije Filipovića uz
učešće 23 umetnika, tzv. „Leskovačke škole naive“.
EPuS LVL je od svog osnivanja značajnu pažnju posvetio
zaštiti i očuvanju kulturno-istorijskog nasleđa
ovog kraja. Zahvaljujući tim rezultatima, Veće je
prošle godine, u partnerstvu sa Gradskom opštinom
Lazarevac započelo izradu reprezentativne monografije
o Spomen - kosturnici Kolubarske bitke u
kojoj su pohranjene kosti 30.000 austrugarskih i
20.000 srpskih vojnika iz Prvog svetskog rata, što je
jedinstven slučaj u svetu.
Lazarevac Local Council
The European Movement in Serbia’s Local Council
in Lazarevac was established by a group of
intellectuals in October 2000, with the aim of creating
a social framework for the development and
empowerment of the civil sector and strengthening
its creative potentials, by affirming European values
during the process of transition. Following several
independent actions, the Lazarevac Local Council
was established on February 6, 2002, and officially
registered on June 4, 2002 at the Yugoslav Federal
Ministry of Justice. The mission of EMinS Lazarevac
is to strengthen the democratic institutions of Serbia,
with a particular focus on the local community,
and the fight against the monopoly of partocracy,
which dominates the interests of civil society.
During the last ten years, the Lazarevac Local Council
organized around 50 different lectures, panel
discussions, workshops and research projects, in
the highly polarized political scene of the Lazarevac
municipality. Substantial support from the local
community in affirming European values had been
missing in previous years.
Since the main energy source in the county is the
“Kolubara” mining basin, with the production of a
lignite, which provides 52 percent of the national
production of electric power, several panel discussions
were dedicated to the development of energy
supplies and environmental protection.
The “Serbia in the EU! What is in it for me, and what
is in it for my city!” project was implemented during
2008. EMinS Lazarevac organized six panel discussions
on day-to-day topics and four local campaigns, in
cooperation with the Center for Transition and the
Municipal Entrepreneurs Association. The Lazarevac
Local Council was recognized as the best among three
NGOs at the project promotion in Ivanjica.
The most prominent events in the Lazarevac city
center and at the main gathering place known as
the Miners’ Fountain were those organized by
EMinS Lazarevac: numerous local election campaigns,
events for Europe Day, programs and performances.
During the last two years, the Lazarevac
Local Council was present at the traditional business
event, “Kolubara Fest” in Lazarevac, distributing
promotional material, flyers, balloons, t-shirts,
