je i aktuelna situacija u sektoru gasa. Zaključci
i preporuke, koji su dostupni na internet stranici
EPuS, su široko distribuirani. U njihovom fokusu
je bio opis kompleksnosti problema, ali i rešenja
koja nudi članstvo u Evropskoj uniji, kroz članstvo
u Energetskoj zajednici.

Izaberi predsednika, izaberi Evropu
Evropski pokret u Srbiji (EPuS) u skladu sa svojom
misijom podrške procesima koji vode stvaranju
moderne i demokratske Srbije kao punopravnog
i jednakog člana Evropske unije, pokrenuo je
kampanju “Izaberi predsednika - Izaberi Evropu”
povodom predsedničkih izbora u Srbiji u januaru i
februaru 2008. godine. Kampanja nije imala za cilj
da lobira za bilo kog kandidata, već je glavni slogan
kampanje bila poruka koju je bilo potrebno proslediti
i promovisati što je šire moguće, a to je da
treba izabrati predsednika koji će nastaviti reformske
procese i približavanje Evropskoj uniji (EU) i
evro-atlantskim integracijama, time potvrđujući da
Srbija jeste deo Evrope i da se
nezaustavljivo kreće ka evropskim
strukturama.

encourage the Serbian public in general as well as
the scientific, expert, political and business circles
to analyze all the relevant developmental issues
and the numerous potentials of the Danube.
The International conference “The Danube: The
Strongest Link to the European Union” brought
together more than 250 participants from 10 countries,
an indication of good will towards overcoming
communication gaps among different, but relevant
actors and subjects, including the communication
gap between civil society organization from the
EU and their Western Balkan counterparts. The
Conference was attended by representatives of the
business community, think tanks and NGOs from
the region, national administrations, MPs from the
national parliaments, representatives of civil society
organization in Serbia, the academic community,
social partners, chambers of commerce and
media. The Conference was articulated in three
panels: the Danube Strategy, Economy and Transportation,
and Tourism Ecology and Culture.
The recommendations and concluding remarks
were widely distributed, while the project was implemented
in cooperation with Serbian Chamber
of Commerce, and supported by the Fridrich Ebert
Foundation.
Panel Discussion “Is a New Gas Crisis
Approaching”
Soon after the gas crisis that occurred at the
beginning of 2009, the European Movement in
Serbia gathered energy and natural gas experts
from Serbia and the region at a panel discussion
entitled “Is a New Gas Crisis Approaching”. The
debate, supported by the European Fund for the
Balkans and organized in October 2009, aimed at
promptly informing the public about the gas supply
situation and sharing both the domestic and the international
points of view on the issue in question.
The main objective of the panel discussion was to
inform the public about the need to monitor the
situation adequately, adjust energy policy and present
proposals for short-term and medium-term
mitigation of possible negative consequences.
The Research, carried out before the conference,
confirmed the urgent need to organize such a panel
