Da li sledi nova gasna kriza<br />

Panel discussion “Is a New Gas Crisis Approaching”<br />

Međunarodna konferencija Dunav - najjača veza<br />

sa Evropskom unijom je okupila preko 250 učesnika<br />

iz 10 zemalja, što dovoljno govori o pokušaju<br />

da premostimo jaz koji je postojao i postoji u komunikaciji<br />

između različitih aktera, ali i CD sa CD<br />

EU. Konferencija je okupila predstavnike poslovne<br />

zajednice, think thank, državne administracije, međunarodnih<br />

organizacija, OCD, Parlamenta i relevantnih<br />

odbora, akadamske zajednice, medija i profesionalnih<br />

udruženja. Konferencija je radila u tri<br />

panela: Dunavska strategija, Ekonomija i transport<br />

i Turizam, ekologija i kultura.<br />

Preporuke i zaključci, ali i sav materijal sa konferencije<br />

je distribuiran na veliki broj adresa.<br />

Projekat je realizovan u saradnji sa Privrednom<br />

komorom Srbije, a uz podršku Fondacije Friedrich<br />

Ebert.<br />

Serbia and the EU: Achievements and Challenges;<br />

Economic Integration and Lessons Learned from<br />

European Integration.<br />

The International Conference gathered together<br />

over 200 participants and numerous experts - guest<br />

speakers from the EU and the Western Balkans, including<br />

Serbia.<br />

The Conference was supported by the Embassy of<br />

the United States in Belgrade.<br />

Sectoral Integration of the Western Balkans<br />

in the European Union<br />

The regional Convention on “Sectoral Integration of<br />

the Western Balkans in the European Union: Trade,<br />

Energy and Transport” aimed to recognize the strategic<br />

goals of the Western Balkan countries within the<br />

context of the EU integration process and to engage<br />

the capacities for overall development of these societies<br />

in overcoming the financial and economical crisis<br />

and its devastating consequences. The Conference<br />

was focused on trade (CEFTA), energy and transport,<br />

the areas of cooperation among the Western Balkans<br />

countries where significant results have already been<br />

achieved. The goal of the conference was to inform<br />

the expert and wider public about the impacts of sectoral<br />

integration on the everyday life of citizens (benefits<br />

and risks), emphasize the importance of regional<br />

cooperation and sectoral integration for the economic<br />

and social development of the region, assess the<br />

CEFTA and Energy Community treaty implementation<br />

(problems and challenges) and raise awareness<br />

on the importance of establishing a Transport Community.<br />

The three conference panels on trade (CEFTA), energy<br />

and transport assessed the improvements obtained<br />

and the challenges facing Serbia and the whole<br />

region. Special focus was put on the implementation<br />

of the SAA, legal harmonization, the social dimension<br />

and parliamentarian regional cooperation.<br />

The Conference gathered together representative<br />

from the business community, think tanks and<br />

NGOs from the region, national administrations,<br />

MPs from the national parliaments, representatives<br />
