The Winter.
Imposing mountain landscapes, swathed in a
blanket of white and seemingly never-ending
pistes. St. Anton am Arlberg is a living legend.
Not only is it considered to be the birth place of
Alpine ski, it is also a meeting place for international
society and a hub of winter sports. No
wonder, considering the snow-sure conditions
from December to late April, with 280 kilometres
of marked ski runs and a popular Funpark.
79 cable car and ski lift systems covering the
Arlberg region whisk you up to the peaks in no
time, and that’s not all: Our ski area is so vast
that guests constantly feel as if they are discovering
new slopes and runs. With 180 kilometres
of back country off-piste terrain, St. Anton
am Arlberg is an Alpine paradise for lovers of
the free-ride scene. The less experienced can
rely on being well looked after by the pros. The
ski schools of Arlberg enjoy an unparalleled reputation
– those who learn to ski here will certainly
be proud of their results. Our guests also
particularly appreciate the Alpine wellness in St.
Anton’s healthy mountain climate. Cross country
skiers glide and skate through tranquil natural
landscapes on a network of over 40 km of
cross country trails, while others enjoy the feel
of snow crunching underfoot during a winter
walk or snowshoeing expedition. Toboggan runs
and ice rinks for skating or curling also ensure
plenty of varied winter fun. Or how about an afternoon
spent browsing round the shops or stopping
for a delicious cappuccino in the pedestrian
zone? And ARLBERG-well.com tempts with all
that is good for body and soul. First class hotels,
excellent restaurants and sophisticated après-ski
round off a perfect holiday experience – a holiday
region that provides the very best conditions
for your winter holiday, one to remember for a
lifetime..
The Summer.
White, fleecy clouds scud across blue skies between
the peaks and green pastures. Children
play in the midst of nature, parents enjoy the
stunning views accompanied by a hearty snack
while active holidaymakers discover tremendous
sporting diversity. In summer, the charming
Tyrolean village of St. Anton am Arlberg is a
popular destination for mountain lovers of all
ages and those looking to indulge in the essential
pleasure of rest, relaxation and revitalisation
in fresh mountain air – all that and more can be
found here! Whether hiking, climbing, biking,
rafting, swimming, sporting events, Alpine and
music festivals or simply chillaxing – here at
1,300 metres above sea level, holidays are both
rewarding and relaxing. There is just so much
to discover! Walking in the mountains probably
tops the list: 300 kilometres of marked hiking
trails lead through the mountains, over Alpine
meadows and forests. Here, it’s not only expert
hikers that have access to our healthy mountain
air – the cable cars of Arlberg enable even inexperienced
Alpine enthusiasts to easily access
altitudes of around 3,000 metres above sea level.
The high rope course in the wildly romantic
Verwalltal Valley will certainly get pulses racing,
and an adrenalin kick comes free of charge
with a spot of paragliding or white water
rafting. For those who prefer cycling, there are
over 200 kilometres of mountain bike trails and
numerous touring opportunities. And the needs
of road racing fans are not neglected either with,
for example, the ARLBERG Giro at the end of
July or the road racing weeks in August. Almost
all paths meet at ARLBERG-well.com – a great
opportunity to visit this wellness centre with its‘
swimming pools, saunas and gym. You want to
take part in even more sport? No problem! To
begin with, we have the famous climbing via
Ferrate routes at your disposal, as well as „arl.
rock“ in the middle of town. This sports centre
offers an unrivalled combination of diverse
climbing and bouldering facilities - indoor and
outdoor. Additional amenities include: tennis,
squash, bowling, volleyball and indoor soccer.
And golfers can work on perfecting their drive
at the six hole golf course set in stunning Alpine
surroundings. By the way: All parents and
grandparents can enjoy some welcome R & R
when our children’s representative, Hoppl the
Hare, takes off with the little ones. The Summer
Activ-Card is also particularly family friendly,
providing many discounts and even some free
admissions. Best of the Alps – that is St. Anton
am Arlberg, in summer too!
