Ingo Burgert (44) ist seit 2011 Professor für holzbasierte
Materialien am Institut für Baustoffe (IfB) des D-BAUG
an der ETH und Arbeitsgruppenleiter in der Abteilung
«Angewandte Holzforschung» an der Empa. Er studierte
von 1990–1995 Holzwirtschaft an der Universität Hamburg
und promovierte dort im Jahr 2000. Danach arbeitete
er an der Universität für Bodenkultur (BOKU) in
Wien. Von 2003 bis 2011 leitete Ingo Burgert die Arbeitsgruppe
«Plant Biomechanics and Biomimetics » am
Max-Planck-Institut für Kolloid- und Grenzflächenforschung
in Potsdam.
Ingo Burgert (44) is Professor for Wood Materials
Science at the Institute for Building Materials (IfB) at
D-BAUG and group leader in Empa’s “Applied Wood Materials”
laboratory since 2011. He studied wood science
and technology at the University of Hamburg where he
gained his Ph.D. in 2000. He then worked at the University
Of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in
Vienna. Before joining ETH and Empa Burgert managed
the Plant Biomechanics and Biomimetics group at the
Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam.
