Jewellery workshop Katrin Benkert: A proper treasure<br />
Inspired by her home environment and made from high-quality materials,<br />
master goldsmith Katrin Benkert creates straight, timeless<br />
jewellery. Whether they’re worn in a modern or a traditional way,<br />
the unique hand-made pieces definitely attract attention. Working<br />
with stones is what Benkert enjoys the most. “Beautiful stones are<br />
truly inspiring for me. When I look at them a great new piece of<br />
jewellery is created before my inner eye.” The entire creative process<br />
also lets ideas grow and creativity flow. The goldsmith greatly<br />
values high-quality raw materials; apart from rings, earrings<br />
and necklaces the goldsmith also produces pieces of jewellery for<br />
special occasions like weddings, christenings or engagements. And<br />
outside of her professional passion? Katrin Benkert who is from<br />
Partenkirchen, loves the outdoor-paradise Garmisch-Partenkirchen:<br />
“What I love about GaPa is that you’re always surrounded by<br />
this magnificent landscape. The mountains, the great skiing area<br />
and the idyllic lakes are simply perfect for any kind of activity in the<br />
nature”. Benkert likes to compare the place with her favourite gemstone,<br />
the tourmaline, “…a wonderful gemstone that is available<br />
in many colour variations. When it has growth inclusions I find it<br />
particularly exciting. Just like my home.”<br />
