Weitere Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten
in der ZDS
Ausbildung zum staatlich geprüften
Techniker Fachrichtung Lebensmitteltechnik:
Seit 1995 gibt es die Möglichkeit,
nach der Berufsausbildung und der
Berufspraxis die Lebensmitteltechnik zu
studieren. Die ZDS in Solingen ist das
einzige Berufskolleg in NRW, das die
Ausbildung zum „Staatlich geprüften
Techniker” mit der Fachrichtung Lebensmitteltechnik
anbietet. Der Lebensmitteltechniker
erlangt in der zweijährigen
Vollzeitausbildung an der ZDS eine
erweiterte berufliche Handlungskompetenz,
die ihn befähigt, Führungsaufgaben
im mittleren Management der Lebensmittelindustrie
zu übernehmen. Pflugmacher:
„Für diesen Weg, in die Theorie zu gehen,
entscheiden sich diejenigen, die später in
ihrem Unternehmen in eine Leitungsposition
aufsteigen wollen. Gelernt wird,
komplexe Aufgaben selbständig zu bewältigen,
Entscheidungen zu treffen, ihre
Umsetzung zu planen und durchzuführen
und verantwortlich in aufgaben- und
projektbezogenen Teams tätig zu werden.“
Vom Angelernten zur Fachkraft: Angelernte
in der Industrie, die oft schon -
30 Jahre und älter sind und meistens
schon Familie haben, haben die Möglichkeit,
die Abschlussprüfung zur Fachkraft
für Lebensmitteltechnik oder Fachkraft
für Süßwarentechnik nachzuholen.
Dazu bietet die ZDS Vorbereitungslehrgänge
für jeweils 15 bis 20 Teilnehmer an.
Die Lehrgänge dauern jeweils drei
Wochen und finden innerhalb von zwei
Jahren vier mal statt. Dieser Weiterbildungsweg
wird von vielen Unternehmen
genutzt und von der Agentur für Arbeit
finanziell unterstützt.
Die Teilnehmer dieser Weiterbildungen in
Industriemeister-Lehrgängen und AF-Lehrgängen
leben in dieser Zeit im ZDS-Penthouse,
wo sie gemeinsam lernen. Pflugmacher:
„Auf diese Weise lernen sie ganz
praktisch soziale Kompetenz und Teamarbeit,
alles sehr wichtige Fähigkeiten für
die späteren Verantwortungspositionen,
für die sie hier ausgebildet werden.“
”Once you’ve learnt it.”
Vocational training at the ZDS
Other training possibilities at the ZDS
The course of training as state-certified
technician in the subject area of food
technology: since 1995, it has been
possible to study food technology after
finishing vocational training and acquiring
practical experience. The ZDS in Solingen
is the only vocational college in
North Rhine-Westphalia that offers the
course of training as ”state-certified
technician” in the subject area of food
technology. In this two-year course of fulltime
training at the ZDS, food technicians
acquire a broader professional and
operational competence that enables
them to take on managerial duties in
middle management in the food industry.
Alfred Pflugmacher: ”This type of training
goes into theory and is chosen by those
who wish to rise to a managerial position
in their company. They learn how to deal
with complex tasks independently, to
make decisions, to plan and carry out
implementation and to take on responsibility
in task- and project-related teams.”
From semi-skilled to skilled: semi-skilled
personnel in the industry who are often
thirty or older – and who usually have
their own families, too – have the
possibility of catching up on the final
examination to become a specialist in
food technology or confectionery technology.
For this purpose, the ZDS offers
preparatory courses with 15 to 20 participants
each. The courses each last three
weeks and take place four times within
two years. Many companies make use of
this type of further training, which is
supported by the labour agency.
During the time of these further training
courses as master craftspersons and
specialists, the participants live together
in the ZDS penthouse, where they study
together. Alfred Pflugmacher: ”This is a
really practical way for them to learn
social skills and team work, very important
capabilities in their later positions of
responsibility for which they are being
trained here.”
