Vor dem Hintergrund einer sich rasant veränderndenChemiefaserindustrie weltweit ist dieses Jubiläum zweifellos ein außergewöhnlichesEreignis. Tatsächlich hat sich Dornbirn seit Jahrzehntenzu DEM Treffpunkt der Experten der internationalen Faser- und Textilweltentwickelt und auch behauptet. Für ADVANSA, dessen Historieauf der langen Polyesterfasertradition von DuPont beruht, war Dornbirnimmer ein wichtiges Forum für Ideenaustausch, sowohl mit Universitätenund Forschungsinstituten als auch mit den Kollegen der gesamtenWertschöpfungskette. Es ist notwendig und durchaus angenehm inschönen Erinnerungen zu schwelgen, jedoch sollte gerade dieses50ste Jubiläum dazu dienen unseren Blick nach vorne zu richten.Für ADVANSA, als Polyesterfaserproduzent mit Basis in Europa,werden Investitionen für F&E weiterhin einen wesentlichen Eckpfeilerdarstellen, um Wettbewerbsvorteile behaupten zu können. At the same time great emphasis is placed onthe quality of textile production and its raw materials. The rapidlygrowing emerging markets in the textile production sector prognosticatean increased demand, which cannot be fulfilled withoutchemical fibres.It is therefore the responsibility of such companies as BorckensteinGmbH as well as its partners to take initiatives in the sustainabilityarena. This will be achieved on one hand through new machineparks and production methods; however it is of prime importanceto invest time and energy in the research and development of thecellulose fibres as well.Our initial enterprising spirit and will of the continual improvementsof our work, gives us great pleasure to work.
