New Course Starts in 2011
Certified Shoe Production Foreperson
A certified shoe production foreperson is
a skilled employee with leadership responsibilities
in the area of production. The prin -
cipal tasks are supervision of material and
pro duc tion flow, instruction of employees,
respon sibilities in matters of quality, quantity,
and costs, and monitoring of occupational
safety.
To enrol in the two-year course applicants must provide
evidence of completion of a vocational training programme
for a recognised occupation in the footwear
industry followed by relevant employment for two to
three years or at least eight years’ occupational experience
in footwear production. Participants in the course
will be awarded their master craftsperson’s diploma after
passing a final Chamber of Industry and Commerce
examination.
Fees are charged for the course. Instruction is partly
extra-occupational, partly full time, and is made up of
three parts:
1. General part (valid for all industries, can take place
at regional branches of the Chamber of Industry and
Commerce): Business studies and economics, labour
and social legislation, personnel management, and
social behaviour.
2. Occupation-related part (footwear industry – instruction
at ISC Germany in Pirmasens): Production
engineering, materials science, occupationally related
mathematics, physics and chemistry, quality assurance,
occupational safety.

Industriemeister/in Schuhfertigung
Der Industriemeister beziehungsweise die
Industriemeisterin Schuhfertigung ist eine
Fachkraft mit Führungsverantwortung im Produktionsbereich.
Zu den Aufgaben gehören
vor allem die Überwachung von Material- und
Produktionsfluss, die Unterweisung von Mitarbeitern,
Qualitäts-, Quantitäts- und Kostenverantwortung
sowie die Überwachung der
Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz.
Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme am zweijährigen Meisterkurs
ist der Abschlussnachweis in einem anerkannten Ausbildungsberuf
der Schuhindustrie und eine an schließende
einschlägige Berufspraxis von zwei bis drei Jahren oder
eine mindestens achtjährige Berufser fahrung in der
Schuhfertigung. Die Teilnehmer der Meisterausbildung
erhalten ihren Meisterbrief nach erfolgreich abgelegter
Prüfung vor der Industrie- und Handelskammer.
Die Ausbildung ist kostenpflichtig. Der Unterricht wird
teils berufsbegleitend, teils in Vollzeit erteilt und umfasst
drei Teile:
1. Fachrichtungsübergreifender Teil (branchenneutral,
kann bei der regionalen IHK-Geschäftsstellen absolviert
werden): Betriebs- und Volkswirtschaftslehre,
Arbeits- und Sozialrecht, Mitarbeiterführung und
Sozialverhalten.
2. Fachrichtungsspezifischer Teil (Schuhindustrie – Unterricht
findet am ISC Germany in Pirmasens statt):
Betriebs- und Fertigungstechnik, Materialkunde,
Fachrechnen, Physik und Chemie, Qualitätssicherung,
Arbeitssicherheit.
