Technical Description
High output and broad operationg
poing adaptability are key features of
all fans of this series.
■ 21 available design sizes with casing
diameters from 250 to 2500
mm
■ Two basic designs for direct drive
(M) or belt drive (R).
■ From optimum pressure coefficiets
this series is equipped with outlet
guide vanes.
■ impeller blades are steplessly
pitch-adjustable without having to
remove the impeller from the unit.
Post-installation adjustments to
specific operating points within the
motor output range can thus be easily
made.
■ Impellers can be supplied with 12,
9, 8, 6 or 4 blades (important particularly
for direct-driven fans).
■ The impeller material is cast solumin,
with the exception of the clamping
strap which consists fo AlMg
3F-2. A high weather and seawater
resistance is thus ensured.
■ On R1 and R2 (belt driven) types,
an additional operatiin point matching
feature is available via the
“stepless“ impeller rpm adjustment
which can be achieved by changing
the belt transmission ratio.
■ High pressure coefficients permit
low tip speeds for minimum operating
noise.
■ Efficiencies up to 82%
■ Tip speeds up to 85 m/s
■ Direct-driven fans are normally
supplied as airflow direction “D“
(outlet over motor) designs. In special
cases, airflow direction “S“
Unless special precautions are
taken, these axial-flow fans are not
suitable for outdoor installation (enquiries
to be directed to our headquarters).

The dimensioning for airflow direction
“S“ axial-flow fans is done
by our field representatives or at
our company headquarters.
■ Their compact design allows these
fans to be installed even where
space is at a premium.
■ All fans are powered by IEC standard
motors. Motors with thermocouples
or thermistor sensors are
available upon request.
■ Standard units are rated for up to
80°C, depending on motor insulation
class.
■ Casings up to size 1250 are made
of deep-drawing grade sheet steel
with pressed flanges.
■ Fans up to size 1205 are surface-finished
with a RAL 7030 (pebblegrey)
polyester powder coating. As
of size 1400, fans are supplied finispainted
in RAL 7030 (pebble-grey)
colour.

■ Available as type “M“ for direct
drive.
■ Not designed for subsequent impeller
blade adjustment.
■ Built with 5, 8, 9 or 12 blades, depending
on specified output
■ Aluminium impeller hub with plastic
blades.
■ Up to 68% efficiency.
■ Tip speeds up to 82 m/s
■ Direct-driven fans are normally
supplied as airflow direction “D“
(outlet over motor) designs. In special
cases, airflow direction “S“
(inlet over motor) types are available.
