Scientists and Senior Scientists<br />
Supported by a generous $50 million donation by Emmanuelle Gattusso, Allan Slaight and the Slaight family, the Ontario Cancer Institute<br />
at the Princess Margar<strong>et</strong> Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada invites applications for multiple new faculty positions. These include:<br />
Directors of Cancer Genomics and/or Informatics, and outstanding candidates at the Scientist (Assistant Professor equiv<strong>al</strong>ent) or Senior<br />
Scientist (Associate/Full Professor equiv<strong>al</strong>ent) level in the areas of Computation<strong>al</strong> Biology, Genomics/Clinic<strong>al</strong> Genomics and Tumor<br />
Biology, including Stem Cell Biology.<br />
The OCI/PMCC provides an extraordinarily rich scientific environment. It is the largest cancer research center in Canada and one of<br />
the largest in North America. The PMH treats approximately 18,000 patients per year, with 12,000 new cases. More than 20% of our<br />
patients participate in clinic<strong>al</strong> tri<strong>al</strong>s, enabling patient-oriented research. With over 200 Scientists and Clinician-Scientists on staff, tightly<br />
integrated clinic<strong>al</strong> and fundament<strong>al</strong> cancer research programs, and a top tier graduate teaching department, we have leading programs<br />
in the areas of stem cell biology, person<strong>al</strong> genomic medicine, epigen<strong>et</strong>ics, sign<strong>al</strong> transduction, immune therapy, radiation biology and<br />
medic<strong>al</strong> imaging. Our downtown location is adjacent to other major Toronto hospit<strong>al</strong>s and research institutes, and the University of<br />
Toronto, providing excellent opportunities for further collaborations.<br />
These positions include full s<strong>al</strong>ary and benefits, as well as a very comp<strong>et</strong>itive startup package. We are affiliated with the University of<br />
Toronto, and successful candidates will be eligible for University appointments at the appropriate level.<br />
