inserts, the <strong>Spectre</strong> would be unusable on those machines; the continual<br />
glitches "lock up" the Mac operating system, making it think its operator<br />
has gone berserk inserting and ejecting disks.<br />
EDITOR: A drive functioning over and above the call of duty ...<br />
If you de-select this option, you're responsible for pressing Fl/F2<br />
to notify the Mac OS of inserts/ ejects. Otherwise, Mac mode will just<br />
sit there with a flashing A or B on the screen.<br />

Sound: There are three options with sound.<br />
.. The first is no sound at all. This also disables Sound at<br />
the Macintosh "Device Manager" level; literally, when<br />
programs try to do sound, the Mac will reply, "Huh?<br />
Sound? Whazzat?" to them. Selecting this option<br />
crashes a few programs, such as the World Builder<br />
Adventure Construction Set.<br />
.. The sccond is Sound - II, or sound at 11 khz. This is<br />
probably the option you want to usc.<br />
