Nomenclatural notes. The complete description <strong>of</strong> Cobitis<br />

stephanidisi appeared first in Economidis & Nalbant (1997);<br />

however, the use <strong>of</strong> the name accompanied by a diagnosis<br />

and a figure in Economidis (1992) makes the name available<br />

from this publication and with Economidis as author.<br />

As Economidis (1992) referred to the then in-press 1997<br />

paper, the specimens listed as holotype and paratypes by<br />

Economidis & Nalbant (1997) are in fact syntypes. Specimen<br />

DZAUT 1992-40 is here designated as lectotype <strong>of</strong><br />

C. stephanidisi Economidis, 1992.<br />
