Taxonomic notes. Differences between B. nantingensis and
B. burmanica (whose type locality is in the same drainage)
seem slight, especially considering the variability observed
in large series of B. burmanica from the middle Salween.
The length of the caudal peduncle seems the less ambiguous
character to distinguish the two species.
