Homatula Nichols, 1925b: 2 (subgenus <strong>of</strong> Barbatula Linck,<br />

1896: 218, by original designation). Gender feminine.<br />

Taxonomic notes. Usually identified as Paracobitis by Chinese<br />

authors. Many species referred to the genus, especially<br />

cave species, do not seem to belong to this genus.<br />
