Homatula Nichols, 1925b: 2 (subgenus of Barbatula Linck,
1790: 38; type species: Nemacheilus potanini Günther,
1896: 218, by original designation). Gender feminine.
Taxonomic notes. Usually identified as Paracobitis by Chinese
authors. Many species referred to the genus, especially
cave species, do not seem to belong to this genus.
