Syntax<br />

FILEDEST=printer-destination<br />

Details<br />

The FILEDEST= system option specifies the default destination to be used <strong>for</strong> printer<br />

data sets when the DEST= option is omitted. This can occur when the FILENAME<br />

statement or FILENAME function does not have a DEST= value or when the <strong>for</strong>m<br />

being used does not have a DEST= value.<br />

Details<br />

FILEDEV= specifies the device name to be used when dynamically allocating a new<br />

physical file if device-type or UNIT= is not specified in the FILENAME statement or<br />

FILENAME function, or if UNIT= is not specified in the LIBNAME statement or<br />

LIBNAME function. Device names are site-specific.
