If you set a value <strong>for</strong> SYSIN, the values of the following options are set as indicated<br />

below:<br />

PAGESIZE=60<br />

OVP=NOOVP<br />

SOURCE=SOURCE<br />

DMS=NODMS<br />

EXPLORER=NOEXP<br />

INTERACTIVE=NOI<br />

FORMATLOG=FORMATLOG<br />

DLDMGACTION=FAIL<br />

These values override the default values of the options and any other values you<br />

might have previously specified <strong>for</strong> these options in your current <strong>SAS</strong> session.<br />

SYSINP= System Option<br />

Specifies the name of an external program that provides <strong>SAS</strong> input statements<br />

Default: none<br />

Valid in: configuration file, <strong>SAS</strong> invocation<br />

Category: File Control: EXTFILES<br />

PROC OPTIONS GROUP= EXTFILES<br />

z/<strong>OS</strong> specifics: all<br />

Syntax<br />

SYSINP=external-program-name<br />

external-program-name<br />

identifies an external program, using eight characters or less.<br />

Details<br />

<strong>SAS</strong> calls this external program every time it needs a new <strong>SAS</strong> input statement. The<br />

PGMPARM= option (see “PGMPARM= System Option” on page 489) enables you to pass<br />

a parameter to the program that you specify with the SYSINP= option.<br />

The SYSINP= option overrides the SYSIN= system option.<br />

SYSLEAVE= System Option<br />

Specifies how much memory to leave unallocated to ensure that <strong>SAS</strong> software tasks will be able<br />

to terminate successfully<br />

Default: (0,153600)
