Network Security<br />

The network security functions can be set up to protect printer operation and the print data.<br />

The following network security settings are available.<br />

• IPSec Setting …8-135<br />

• SSL Setting …8-136<br />

• SNMPv3 Setting …8-144<br />

IPSec Setting<br />

Default Setting (System Menu)<br />

Make this setting when you use IPSec. The default setting is Off and that of Rule Setting is also Off.<br />

Use the procedure below to make the setting.<br />

1 In the Sys. Menu/Count. menu, press the or key to<br />

select [System], and press the OK key.<br />

A login screen will appear. Then, enter the user ID and<br />

password with administrator privileges to log in, and<br />

press [Login] (the Right Select key).<br />

2 The System menu appears.<br />

3 Press the or key to select [Network Setting].<br />

4 Press the OK key. The Network Setting menu appears.<br />

5 Press the or key to select [IPSec].<br />
