Enclosed is the mission for the Chmleroi Depot Area, Q-lF3. You will note thnt the PX mission is being shifted h"diately from Lille-Mons Depot, 6-185, t o Charleroi. 2. Charleroi will be the grincipal Base Depot on the Continent for Class I supaliea, and in addition to backing up present depots, It must be prerared to assist in naking shi?ments to build up Advance Depots wtich rill be established in the future to support the First, ITinth, Third and gaventh Armies. The maximum storage mission of 240,000 long tons of Class 1 m y never be reached. Porrever, stora:e capacity to this extent auPt be held in readiness as Theater ?eserve %ace to meet suoh fluctuating requuirenents as nay arise. 3.
