RESOLUTION OF PAST GRAND MASTER ROBT. R. REID.<br />

The resolution of Past Grand Master Bobert E. Beid, offered on<br />

last evening, came up for action. This resolution had for its object the<br />

solution of the Masonic Temple proposition, and proposed the sale of<br />

the present Temple and site and the erection of a new Temple upon<br />

another site with the proceeds of such sale.<br />

M. W. Bro. L. E. Thomas, Past Grand Master, offered the<br />

following resolution as a substitute for that of M. W. Bro. Reid:<br />

Resolved, That the Board of Grand Lodge Hall Directors be and<br />

they are hereby authorized to ascertain what price they can obtain<br />

for our present Masonic Temple during the next twelve months. Be it<br />

further<br />

Resolved, That said Board also ascertain what options or properties<br />

they can obtain on various other locations in New Orleans for the erection<br />

of a Masonic Temple for the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, and that<br />

pending all proposals and offers for our present property, the entire subject<br />

matter be relegated to the next Annual Grand Communication.<br />

AMENDMENT OF W. BRO. J. W. DUNCAN OF COLFAX LODGE NO. 259.<br />

W. Bro. J. W. Duncan, of Colfax Lodge No. 259, submitted<br />

the following amendment:<br />

Resolved, That before any purchase of property is made, that the<br />

Grand Master shall request from any and all cities in this State offers<br />

for donation of the whole or part of the necessary amount of land or<br />

other contributions toward the erection of a Masonic Temple.<br />

AMENDMENT BY W. BRO. A. B. BOOTH, OF MILFORD LODGE NO. 117.<br />

W. Bro. A. B. Booth, of Milford Lodge No. 117, offered<br />

the following additional amendment: ,<br />

Resolved, That the Board of Grand Lodge Hall Directors are authorized,<br />

in their discretion, to strengthen and repair the Temple property<br />

until such time as the Grand Lodge shall see fit to sell or rebuild.<br />

Both of these amendments being accepted by Past Grand<br />

Master Thomas, the substitute offered by him, embodying these<br />

amendments, was adopted:<br />

RESOLUTION OF W. BRO. HERBERT W. KAISER, OF JEFFERSON<br />

LODGE NO. 191.<br />

Resolved, That it is the sense of this Grand Lodge that Plan No.<br />

1 of the Special Committee on Temple Property shouIS be adopted, and<br />

with that end in view, be it further<br />

Resolved, That the incoming Grand Master, together with a majority<br />

of the Board of Grand Lodge Hall Directors be and they are hereby<br />

authorized to make the necessary financial arrangements, not in excess
