PRESENTATION TO R. W. GRAND SECRETARY LAMBERT.
At this time M. W. Bro. Charles P. Buck, Past Grand Master,
on behalf of the Grand Master and the staff of Grand Lodge
officers, presented to R. W. Bro. Richard Lambert, Grand Secretary,
a gold tea service as a testimonal in honor of the sixtieth
anniversary of his wedding. Bro. Buck feelingly alluded
to the long term of service of Bro. Lambert with the Grand Lodge
of Louisiana, and assured him of the good wishes of his fellow
officers and of the members of the Grand Lodge, and of their
hopes that he would live to celebrate a good many similar anniversaries.
Bro. Lambert in responding, thanked the spokesman and
the Grand Master and the officers of the Grand Lodge for their
thoughtfulness in the matter and assured them of his deep appreciation,
saying that the period of his sixty years of married
life had been one of unmarred felicity, that there was not a moment
of it, in retrospection, that he could not recall with pleasant
memories, and that he knew and felt that the donors could feel
assured that his wife joined him in the sentiments he expressed.
