The spc'fiuK'ii has evidently been made over into a modern study skin, (juite<br />

complete except for the tail, which is rather fragmentary; skull perfec-t.<br />

No numbers are referred to in the original description, but in the ^lammals<br />

of North America it is seen that there were two specimens, an adult female and a<br />

young. IVIeasurements of a skull are given in the first description, which apply<br />

to the adult female, no. -xS'Jr- Hence it is regarded as the type.<br />
