This is the only adult male skull labeled as Ursun alascen<strong>si</strong>s by Doctor Merriam<br />

at the time the description was published antl is the only one showing all the<br />

characters mentioned.<br />

Skull in good condition. It is old and most of the teeth are nuuh worn. The<br />

cainnes are sj)lit and cracked in the usual way of large teeth; the second low»'r<br />

molar on the left <strong>si</strong>de is nearlj' decayection.<br />
