COMPETITION AWARDS Nine <strong>feature</strong> <strong>film</strong>s from around the world were selected this year. These works, most of which will be presented by their <strong>film</strong>makers, make up an unprecedented melting pot, a laboratory for up-and-coming talent, and an exclusive showcase of this year’s great <strong>film</strong>s. The <strong>feature</strong> <strong>film</strong>s compete for the Audience Award, the Student Award, the Bloggers and Web Award, and in 2013 for the first time, the Grazia Magazine Award. All the prizes, endowed by the festival with invaluable support from its sponsors, are intended to help winning <strong>film</strong>s obtain theatrical distribution. The Festival scope website joins with several international <strong>film</strong> festivals, among which <strong>Paris</strong> Cinema IFF, to offer professionals worldwide special access to the selected <strong>film</strong>s. www.festivalscope.com Competition trophies are designed by Skalli quadri fond blanc / clair quadri fond noir / foncé N&B fond noir N&B fond blanc AUDIENCE AWARD The audience award has been endowed by CINÉ+ for the fifth consecutive year; it offers the distributor of the prize-winning <strong>film</strong> an advertising campaign on its channel upon theatrical release. The audience award is also endowed by JCdecaux, the reference for <strong>film</strong> and media distributors. BLOGGERS AND WEB AWARD Created in 2010, the Bloggers and Web award is awarded by five writers from the blogosphere and the Internet, which the festival wants to help promote. Vodkaster.com, the <strong>film</strong> social network with 100, 000 members, will promote the winning <strong>film</strong> upon theatrical release. Supported by JCDecaux, CINÉ+, Grazia, Vodkaster.com, L’Étudiant.fr, CINÉ FAC, Radio Campus <strong>Paris</strong>, France-Québec Youth Office (OFQJ), the Rendez-vous du <strong>Cinéma</strong> québécois (RVCQ), the Québec Government Office in <strong>Paris</strong>, the SODEC, the Embassy of Brazil in France, the Embassy of Israel in France, the Georgian National Film Center, the Goethe-Institut, Skalli, and Festival Scope. 11 OFFICIAL SELECTION International competition STUDENT AWARD The student award is conferred by a jury made up of students who are assisted by festival president Charlotte rampling. The prize is backed by radio Campus <strong>Paris</strong>, l’Étudiant.fr and CINÉ FaC, which will help promote the <strong>film</strong> among students upon theatrical release. It is also underwritten by the France-Québec Youth Office (OFQJ), which will invite a member of the jury to take part in the rendez-vous du <strong>Cinéma</strong> Québécois (rVCQ) in Montreal in 2014; this summer, <strong>Paris</strong> Cinema IFF will welcome a student from Québec onto its award jury.
