Jean-Yves Roubin began his<br />

Versus Production. In 2000, he<br />
joined Films de la Passerelle.<br />
In 2006, he founded FraKas,<br />
a <strong>film</strong> production company<br />
that, with young directors,<br />
takes an incisive look at our<br />
society through forceful,<br />
ambitious subjects — both in<br />
fiction in documentary <strong>film</strong>s.<br />
In 2009, he, Joseph Rouschop,<br />
and Sylvie Rasquinet created<br />
Cinéfinance, an intermediary<br />
tax shelter organisation that<br />
deals mainly with financing<br />
<strong>film</strong>s produced by Tarantula<br />
and FraKas.<br />

in Jerusalem, Paulette Smets<br />
has been a part of all of the<br />

the Belvision studios since<br />
1963. Chief colorist, checking<br />

director of production and<br />
development, she has worked<br />
on projects such as Pinocchio<br />
in Outer Space, Asterix and<br />
Cleopatra, and Tintin and the<br />
Lake of Sharks. Since 2012,<br />
Paulette Smets has been<br />
Honorary President of the<br />

RaOul SeRVaiS<br />
Born in Ostend in 1928, Raoul<br />
Servais worked with René<br />
Magritte and Henri Storck<br />
during the 1950s. His <strong>film</strong>s<br />
have won sixty awards in<br />
various festivals. Harpya<br />
received the Palme d’or at<br />
Cannes in 1979 and was<br />
selected by international<br />
<strong>film</strong> critics as one of the five<br />
best animated <strong>film</strong>s of all<br />
time. Among his many titles,<br />
Raoul Servais is an honorary<br />
member of the Royal Academy<br />
of Sciences and Fine Arts of<br />
Belgium.<br />
OliVieR SmOldeRS<br />
Belgian director Olivier<br />
Smolders became known for<br />
his serious short <strong>film</strong>s with<br />
deeply morbid themes, for<br />
which he received numerous<br />
awards internationally. In<br />
2005 he released his first<br />
<strong>feature</strong> <strong>film</strong>, Black Night, a<br />
dreamlike color <strong>film</strong> about<br />
metamorphosis. Olivier<br />
Smolders is also a producer,<br />
writer, and lecturer at INSAS<br />
(National Higher Institute of<br />
Performing Arts). He is the son<br />
of sculptor Michel Smolders.
