“THE FESTIVAL guESTS AS SEEN
BY JÉRôME BoNNET”
Photographer Jérôme Bonnet began working in the press with
Libération and Télérama and later worked for Elle, L’Optimum,
Madame Figaro, Financial Times… After a number of years
devoted to reporting, he now mainly works on portraits, and was
twice awarded the World Press prize for Portraits in 2009 and
2010.
> MK2 BIBLIOTHèquE
first held in 2008, the exhibition “The festival Guests as seen
by Jérôme Bonnet” will again be installed in front of the MK2
Bibliothèque during the festival.
Each day from June 28 on, photographer Jérôme Bonnet will
immortalize the guests as they arrive and print the photos
that night on 120x160cm posters, which will be displayed the
next day, affording passersby the opportunity to discover new
portraits every morning. A striking artistic use of the famous
JCDecaux “lollipops” for a photo exhibition that is an outdoor work
in progress.
PLACE DE LA BASTILLE
for the first time, nearly 80 photos from the previous “The
festival Guests as seen by Jérôme Bonnet” exhibitions are
shown in digital form during more than one month in the Place de
la Bastille, through the cooperation of JCDecaux.
EVENT
Photo exhibitions / Flea Market
for the fifth consecutive year, Paris Cinema festival offers its
viewers the chance to exhibit or to find bargains at the outdoor
flea Market on the esplanade of the MK2 Bibliothèque and the
Bnf, the National Library of france.
Since it began three years ago, the flea Market — open to
professionals and individuals — has been a huge success,
attracting some 10,000 visitors a day.
Amateur vendors and professional antique dealers offer antique
posters, photos of film shoots, DVDs, magazines, soundtrack CDs,
projection equipment, cinema seats, collectible figurines…
This event is an opportunity for visitors to marvel at the unusual
collector’s items and maybe even find that rare gem that they’ve
been looking for for so many years, or simply to browse on the
MK2 Bibliothèque esplanade, in the midst of the Jérôme Bonnet
photo exhibition devoted to 2013 festival guests.
