Starting off as a journalist<br />
Jérôme Le Maire began<br />
making short <strong>film</strong>s, including<br />
Meilleurs Vœux with Vincent<br />
Lanoo. He then directed other<br />
documentaries such as Volter<br />
ne m’intéresse pas and Un jour,<br />
une vie, a montage of pictures,<br />
archives, and interviews. In<br />
2003, he moved to Morocco.<br />
There he directed Où est<br />
l’amour dans la palmeraie?<br />
and Tea or Electricity. The Big<br />
Trip, his first fiction <strong>film</strong>, was<br />
presented as part of the ACID<br />
program at Cannes.<br />
JÉRÉmie RenieR<br />
Born on January 6, 1981 in<br />
Brussels, Jérémie Renier was<br />
discovered by audiences in<br />
1996 in the Dardenne brothers’<br />
<strong>film</strong> La Promesse. He then<br />
worked under the direction of<br />
François Ozon in the intense<br />
<strong>film</strong> Criminal Lovers (1999).<br />
One of the leading Belgian<br />
and French <strong>film</strong> actors,<br />
he appeared in Olivier Van<br />
Hoofstadt’s Dikkenek (2005)<br />
alongside Marion Cotillard. In<br />
Private Property, he starred<br />
with Isabelle Huppert. Noted<br />
for both his performances and<br />
his choice of roles, Jérémie<br />
Renier stands out on both<br />
sides of the Ardennes.<br />

The Guests<br />

Benoît Poelvoorde started his<br />
<strong>film</strong> career almost by chance,<br />
when he met André Bonzel<br />
and Rémy Belvaux. After the<br />
success of their short <strong>film</strong><br />
No C4 for Daniel Daniel, the<br />
three <strong>film</strong>makers began a<br />
new project, Man Bites Dog,<br />
which instantly became a cult<br />
<strong>film</strong> upon its release. In 2002,<br />
Poelvoorde received the Jean<br />
Gabin Prize awarded to the<br />
most promising new actors.<br />
Since then, he has appeared in<br />
more than thirty <strong>film</strong>s, mainly<br />
comedies.<br />
YanniCK RenieR<br />
Born in Brussels in 1975,<br />
Yannick Renier made his acting<br />
debut at the age of 20. He<br />
played in many theatre pieces,<br />
among them works by Garcia<br />
Lorca, Racine, Pirandello,<br />
Dostoïevski, Neil Labute...<br />
In 2006 he appeared for the<br />
very first time on the silver<br />
screen in Private Property<br />
by Joachim Lafosse. He then<br />
keep on working for theatre,<br />
television and cinema, under<br />
the direction of Christophe<br />
Honoré, Joachim Lafosse,<br />
Olivier Ducastel and Jacques<br />
Martineau, and Philippe Lioret,<br />
among others.
