Nine <strong>feature</strong> <strong>film</strong>s from around<br />

the world were selected this year.<br />

These works, most of which will<br />

be presented by their <strong>film</strong>makers,<br />

make up an unprecedented<br />

melting pot, a laboratory for<br />

up-and-coming talent, and an<br />

exclusive showcase of this<br />

year’s great <strong>film</strong>s.<br />

The <strong>feature</strong> <strong>film</strong>s compete for<br />

the Audience Award, the Student<br />

Award, the Bloggers and Web<br />

Award, and in 2013 for the first<br />

time, the Grazia Magazine Award.<br />

All the prizes, endowed by the<br />

festival with invaluable support<br />

from its sponsors, are intended<br />

to help winning <strong>film</strong>s obtain<br />

theatrical distribution.<br />

The Festival scope website joins with<br />

several international <strong>film</strong> festivals,<br />

among which <strong>Paris</strong> Cinema IFF, to offer<br />

professionals worldwide special access<br />

to the selected <strong>film</strong>s.<br />

AUDIENCE AWARD<br />

The audience award has been endowed<br />

by CINÉ+ for the fifth consecutive year; it<br />

offers the distributor of the prize-winning<br />

<strong>film</strong> an advertising campaign on its<br />

channel upon theatrical release.<br />

The audience award is also endowed by<br />

JCdecaux, the reference for <strong>film</strong> and media<br />

distributors.<br />

BLOGGERS<br />

AND WEB AWARD<br />

Created in 2010, the Bloggers and Web<br />

award is awarded by five writers from the<br />

blogosphere and the Internet, which the<br />

festival wants to help promote.<br />

Vodkaster.com, the <strong>film</strong> social network<br />

with 100, 000 members, will promote the<br />

winning <strong>film</strong> upon theatrical release.<br />

GRAZIA MAGAZINE AWARD<br />

The Grazia Magazine award, presented<br />

by a jury made up of <strong>film</strong> buffs amongst<br />

its readers and two members of Grazia<br />

magazine and website editorial teams,<br />

seeks to reward the boldness of highspirited,<br />

up-and-coming talents by offering<br />

a promotional campaign in the magazine<br />

and on the website to the distributor of the<br />

winning <strong>film</strong> when it is released.<br />

Supported by JCDecaux, CINÉ+, Grazia, Vodkaster.com, L’Étudiant.fr, CINÉ FAC, Radio Campus <strong>Paris</strong>,<br />

France-Québec Youth Office (OFQJ), the Rendez-vous du <strong>Cinéma</strong> québécois (RVCQ), the Québec<br />

Government Office in <strong>Paris</strong>, the SODEC, the Embassy of Brazil in France, the Embassy of Israel in<br />

International competition<br />

STUDENT AWARD<br />

The student award is conferred by a jury<br />

made up of students who are assisted by<br />

festival president Charlotte rampling.<br />

The prize is backed by radio Campus <strong>Paris</strong>,<br />

l’Étudiant.fr and CINÉ FaC, which will help<br />

promote the <strong>film</strong> among students upon<br />

theatrical release. It is also underwritten<br />

by the France-Québec Youth Office (OFQJ),<br />

which will invite a member of the jury to<br />

take part in the rendez-vous du <strong>Cinéma</strong><br />

Québécois (rVCQ) in Montreal in 2014; this<br />

summer, <strong>Paris</strong> Cinema IFF will welcome a<br />

student from Québec onto its award jury.<br />
