Indeed, the significznt cbnge in attitude on this problem<br />

occurred in Dr. Flexner who, bving fought resourcefully <strong>for</strong> a moderate<br />

and reesonable faculty sbre in decisions fn academic matters, uas to<br />

turn against it decisively, But that was in his old age, and after msny<br />

scars and battles. One will have to decide when the story is told i<br />

whether it was his experience with a faculty or his lack of it that was<br />

responsible <strong>for</strong> the change.<br />
