The ISSF World Cup Final has always been<br />
a stage of great performances. The best athletes<br />
of the world, competing for the most important<br />
title of the year, often gave a perfect<br />
performance. The 10M AIR RIFLE WOMEN<br />
event was the stage of a perfect score – 400<br />
points – five times (two times by Russia’s<br />
Lioubov Galkina), while the perfect score of<br />
600 points was scored four times in the 50M<br />
RIFLE PRONE MEN event (twice by Belarus’<br />
SERGEI MARTYNOV!).<br />

Taking all events into considerations, 18<br />
FINAL WORLD RECORDS and 9 WORLD<br />
RECORDS were scored throughout these<br />
25 years at ISSF World Cup Finals, and some<br />
of these remarkable scores are still standing.<br />
The aforementioned Slovenian Rifle<br />
Champion Debevec, for example, scored the<br />

There are several facts about the ISSF World<br />
Cup Final which you can find in these pages<br />
and among our tables. But there’s something<br />
you might not know: in 2002, the ISSF<br />
held three World Cup Finals instead of two.<br />
What happened? After the 9/11 INCIDENT<br />
IN 2001, the ISSF Shotgun World Cup Final<br />
scheduled for 2001 was postponed and carried<br />
out in January 2002, in Doha, Qatar,<br />
while the 2002 Word Cup Final was held in<br />
Lonato, later on, in October.<br />

25 years is a nice anniversary, but that’s<br />
just the beginning. The ISSF World Cup Final<br />
– with the new rules and finals launched<br />
this year – is ready to go again. The next appointments<br />
are already set: the 2013 ISSF<br />
ShOTGUN WORLD CUP FINAL will take<br />
place in ABU DhABI, UAE, FROM OCTOBER<br />
21 – 29. Later on, from NOVEMBER 6 – 12,<br />
the ISSF WORLD CUP FINAL will return<br />
where it all started, Munich, for the RIFLE &<br />
PISTOL Finals.<br />
