Expected result:
• No alarms/errors expected.
TCA045: Test unexpected Tandem Connection Access Point Identifier.
Purpose:
Confirm action when unexpected TC-APId path trace is received at B.
Test method:
1. Set A to “Transparent” and B to terminate the TCM bytes.
2. At A insert different TC-APId to that expected at B.
3. Check for TC-APId between A & B using testers in through mode.
Expected result:
• May raise alarm on management system.
• Should receive path AIS (AIS-P / AU-AIS) downstream on tester at B.
• B should terminate the N1 byte with “00h”and raise a remote defect indicator
upstream (TC-RDI) (observed at A).
TCA046: Errors with TCM section.
Purpose:
Confirm TCM operation – Errors with TCM section.
Test method:
1. Set A to “Transparent” and B to terminate the TCM bytes.
2. Insert B3 errors at tester No. 1.
Expected result:
• Measure same number of B3s at B.
• Measure RDI & OEI (outgoing error indication) at A from B.
• Management system should indicate errors occurring within the TCM section.
TCA047: Errors external to TCM section.
Purpose:
Confirm TCM operation – Errors external to TCM section.
Test method:
1. Set A to “Transparent” and B to terminate the TCM bytes.
2. Insert IEC at tester No. 1(incoming error count) in A.
Expected result:
• Expect to measure same number of B3 errors at B and to record OEI back at A.
• Management system should indicate errors occurring outside the TCM section.
TCA048: TC-AIS external to TCM section.
Purpose:
Confirm TCM operation – AIS external to TCM section.
Test method:
1. Set A to “Transparent” and B to terminate the TCM bytes.
2. Insert incoming AIS in the IEC into A using tester No. 1.
