Thank you for particip<strong>at</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> this n<strong>at</strong>ional study of teachers be<strong>in</strong>g conducted by the Pew Research<br />

Center’s Internet & American Life Project, the College Board, <strong>and</strong> the N<strong>at</strong>ional Writ<strong>in</strong>g Project.<br />

You may log <strong>in</strong> to the discussion as many times as you wish until 6:00 AM EST on Sunday,<br />

January 29, when the discussion will close. If you leave the discussion <strong>and</strong> then log back <strong>in</strong>, you<br />

will be taken to the last section you completed. Once you have completed all sections, you can<br />

move back <strong>and</strong> forth throughout the discussion to see others' posts <strong>and</strong> respond to them. We<br />

encourage <strong>in</strong>teraction!<br />

There are four sections <strong>in</strong> this discussion, <strong>and</strong> some questions require responses <strong>in</strong> order to move<br />

forward (marked m<strong>and</strong><strong>at</strong>ory). The first section <strong>in</strong>cludes some basic questions so we can learn a<br />

little more about you. The second section <strong>in</strong>cludes questions about the impact of digital<br />

technologies on your students' writ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> research habits. The third section asks about your own<br />

teach<strong>in</strong>g practices. F<strong>in</strong>ally, the last section <strong>in</strong>cludes questions about us<strong>in</strong>g multimedia<br />

assignments. Please complete all four sections.<br />
