experimentation to evident the knowledge. S02 noted that “…the scientist would<br />

publish the discovery to adv<strong>an</strong>ce the knowledge.” S04 noted that “…the scientists<br />

continued the previous study <strong>an</strong>d then found new subst<strong>an</strong>ce involved<br />

photosynthesis…”<br />

Scientists with curiosity had observed the world <strong>an</strong>d then given<br />

its expl<strong>an</strong>ation, in terms of laws <strong>an</strong>d theories, for application in every day life. This<br />

idea was held by S03 who ignored the idea of science was a complex social activity.<br />
