REMOVING A REFRIGERATOR LIGHT SOCKET WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard Disconnect power before servicing. Replace all parts and panels before operating. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock. 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power. 2. If needed, remove the food and racks from the upper shelf. 3. Place the fingers of both hands into the light cover slots and pull the cover down. Light Cover Slots 4. Unscrew the bulb from the light socket you are removing. Refrigerator Lights 4-3 5. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, push in on the light socket retainer, and pull the socket out of its opening in the refrigerator liner. Light Socket Light Socket Retainer 6.
