Electrical Shock Hazard<br />
Disconnect power before servicing.<br />
Replace all parts and panels before operating.<br />
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.<br />
Refer to pages 4-17 & 4-21 for the procedures<br />
for accessing a refrigerator or freezer<br />
door/drawer switch.<br />
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.<br />
2. Disconnect one of the wires going to the<br />
door/drawer switch.<br />
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.<br />
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the<br />
N.O. and COM door/drawer switch terminals.<br />
The meter should indicate an open<br />
circuit (infinite).<br />
5. Press the door/drawer switch actuator<br />
button and the meter should indicate<br />
continuity (0 Ω).<br />
6. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the<br />
N.C. and COM door/drawer switch terminals.<br />
The meter should indicate continuity<br />
(0 Ω). NOTE: The door/drawer switches<br />
are normally-closed.<br />
7. Press the door/drawer switch actuator<br />
button and the meter should indicate an<br />
open circuit (infinite).<br />

DOOR/DRAWER SWITCH FILL TUBE HEATER<br />

Refer to page 4-22 for the procedure for accessing<br />
the fill tube heater.<br />
NOTE: The heated fill tube will be energized<br />
for 90 minutes after each ice maker harvest<br />
and fill.<br />
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.<br />
2. Disconnect the ice maker inlet heated fill<br />
tube wire connector from the main harness.<br />
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1K scale.<br />
4. Insert the ohmmeter test leads into the<br />
two connector pins of the ice maker inlet<br />
heated fill tube connector. The meter<br />
should indicate approximately 3420 Ω.
