REMOVING THE WATER VALVE
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
2. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.
3. Remove the water filter from the bottom
of the refrigerator.
4. Remove the two screws from the base
grille and remove the grille from the bottom
of the refrigerator.

5. Push in on the quick-disconnect ring and
pull the water line off the water valve inlet
(see the top right photo).
6. Remove the two hex-head screws from
the water valve mounting bracket, and pull
the bracket forward as far as possible.

7. Disconnect the wire connector from the
water valve terminals.
8. Push in on the quick-disconnect ring and
pull the water line off the water valve outlet.
9. Remove the two hex-head screws from
the water valve and remove the valve
from the mounting bracket.
