REMOVING THE WATER VALVE<br />

WARNING<br />

Electrical Shock Hazard<br />

Disconnect power before servicing.<br />

Replace all parts and panels before<br />

operating.<br />

Failure to do so can result in death or<br />

electrical shock.<br />

1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.<br />

2. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.<br />

3. Remove the water filter from the bottom<br />

of the refrigerator.<br />

4. Remove the two screws from the base<br />

grille and remove the grille from the bottom<br />

of the refrigerator.<br />

5. Push in on the quick-disconnect ring and<br />

pull the water line off the water valve inlet<br />

(see the top right photo).<br />

6. Remove the two hex-head screws from<br />

the water valve mounting bracket, and pull<br />

the bracket forward as far as possible.<br />

7. Disconnect the wire connector from the<br />

water valve terminals.<br />

8. Push in on the quick-disconnect ring and<br />

pull the water line off the water valve outlet.<br />

9. Remove the two hex-head screws from<br />

the water valve and remove the valve<br />

from the mounting bracket.<br />
