REMOVING A REFRIGERATOR DOOR<br />

WARNING<br />

Electrical Shock Hazard<br />

Disconnect power before servicing.<br />

Replace all parts and panels before<br />

operating.<br />

Failure to do so can result in death or<br />

electrical shock.<br />

1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.<br />

2. Pull the freezer drawer open and remove<br />

the T-15 stop screw from the bottom<br />

hinge pin.<br />

3. Lift the top grille and remove it.<br />

4. With the door closed, unhook the door<br />

spring and remove it (see the top right<br />

photo).<br />

5. Remove the screw from the door stop.<br />

IMPORTANT NOTE: Support the door in the<br />

next step so that it does not fall.<br />

6. Open the door and remove the three<br />

screws from the top hinge leaf.<br />

7. Pull the top of the door<br />

forward, and remove<br />

the top hinge pin bracket<br />

and spacer. Lift the door<br />

so the bottom hinge pin<br />

is free of the hinge plate,<br />

and remove the door.
